Well, you’ve come to the right place. From Monday 26th – Saturday 31st July we’re running the Act for Change Together Festival, a series of exciting online events that will showcase the worth and power of young people making meaningful change.

The Act for Change Together festival comes out of the combined drive and passion of 32 organisations across the UK, supported by Act for Change Fund, that believe young people are the future and have the power to lead change.

The festival will focus on challenging ingrained narratives and stereotypes and we’ll share skills and knowledge, learning how to reach out and be better allies to young people and communities who need inclusion and connection.

Through a series of podcasts, workshops, panel discussions, and videos, our amazing youth activists and adult allies and partners (from the 32 funded organisations) will be sharing their stories, experiences, top tips, and things they’ve learned from their time delivering youth-led social action campaigns – and you can get involved too! With every event, we’re hoping to hear from you with your own experiences, questions, and insights, so together we can build an experience that we can all learn from and remember.

If you gain one thing to take away and do differently in the future – that’s a success in our book!

Register below to embrace the change.

About us

Act for Change Together

We are a steering group of young activists drawn from some of 32 organisations funded by Act for Change Fund. With support from Molly Scarborough and The Arts Development Company, we have co-produced our own online festival that shares our skills, experiences and knowledge, that challenges ingrained stereotypes and showcases the youth social action work the 32 organisations are leading across the UK.

About co-producers

Molly Scarborough and The Arts Development Company (ADC) are the co-producers for the Act for Change Together network and Festival.

Since November 2020, they have been bringing the young changemakers and leaders from the 32 organisations together – to meet each other, build relationships, learn from each other, and share ideas and stories (as well as work together to co-produce their own showcase event in July 2021).

  • Act for Change Fund is a £3.6 million partnership for organisations supporting young people working for change. The Fund provides resources for young people to challenge social injustice, find ways of overcoming inequality and give voice to issues they are experiencing.
  • Act for Change Fund is a joint initiative between Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, working in partnership with the National Lottery Community Fund. Both foundations are acting as match funders and are awarding grants on behalf of the #iwill Fund.
  • The #iwill Fund is made possible thanks to £50 million joint investment from The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to support young people to access high quality social action opportunities.
