We are a steering group of young activists drawn from some of 32 organisations funded by Act for Change Fund. With support from co-producers Molly Scarborough and The Arts Development Company, we have designed our own online festival that shares our skills, experiences and knowledge, that challenges ingrained stereotypes and showcases the youth social action work the 32 organisations are leading across the UK.
All of our festival events and ideas have come from workshops and planning sessions with other youth activists within the wider network of organisations. We look forward to sharing our work with you.

I’m a young person with a passion for making change and improving the lives of people across the country, with a particular focus on the stories we tell about mental health and identities.
I am from Leonard Cheshire’s Change Makers Programme, as part of their Can Do Programme, of which is funded by the Act For Change Fund. I am very much looking forward to the festival, as it will give a unique opportunity for organisations to come together and create a roadmap for more effective change to be implemented wherever that they may be!
I am a Young Leader for Voice of Young People in Care (VOYPIC). I am really looking forward for the festival in July and looking forward to see what everyone has produced for their sessions and podcasts!! I am also looking forward to see how we can challenge different stereotypes in different areas of people’s lives.
I’m a 42nd Street Changemaker! With the Act for Change Together Festival, I’m most excited to challenge stereotypes on a range of topics, particularly within mental health, and hear other young people’s insights and unique views on how we can change narratives and assumptions in our society.

Heya, I’m Georgie. Youth-led work and collaborations like Act For Change Together are really important for improving the livelihoods and mental wellbeing of young people and I’m really happy to be a part of this festival.
I am a Youth Worker at the RECLAIM Project specialising in powering young people from working-class backgrounds. I am really grateful for this opportunity for not only us as youth workers but also the young people to change the narrative and stereotypes about young people and all the different groups affected by the “one story” narrative!
